Callaway's Range of 2025 Gear is "Elyte" Through the bag

thebogeymenpod

Every year around December/January, February each golf manufacturer releases their line of products for the coming year, and this year was no different with Taylormade, Titleist, Ping and others all launching their latest range. For the past couple of years Callaway have been a great support to us in The Bogey Men sorting us out with balls, gear and more whenever we asked for it. This professional relationship came after my own love of Callaway. The very first driver I bought was the Callaway Big Bertha Titanium 454, my first set of irons were Callaway as well, so as a brand there's always been nostalgia and a personal soft spot.

On the podcast this week I was joined by Head Product Fitter & Trainer Chris Courtneidge to talk through the entire range of 2025 products from Callaway. For you gear heads, this is the podcast for you! You can listen to that full podcast here.

The 2025 range of Callaway Golf products have launched and the tagline is that "THE FUTURE OF PERFORMANCE IS ELYTE" a nice nod to Callaway founder Ely, this year Callaway claims their drivers are up to 8 yards longer, fairway woods promote 57% less turf interaction, their most adjustable hybrids ever, and irons with exceptional ball speeds for every type of player.

A revolutionary new aerospace grade Thermoforged Carbon crown enables fast head speeds while optimising high launch and low spin. Callaway’s most advanced face to date, the new Ai 10x Face, delivers 10x more control points than Paradym Ai Smoke, and is a breakthrough design that produces exceptionally fast ball speeds, tight dispersion, and optimised launch across the face. Elyte is available in 3 driver models: Standard, X, and Triple Diamond.

All of this is to help you discover how Elyte your game can be!

The new products don't just stop there, Odyssey have launched their Square 2 Square putters in an answer to the recent growth in LAB putters. We all know that Odyssey are the #1 Putter on Tour, and they have announced their all-new family: Ai-ONE Square 2 Square with zero torque.

Zero torque is one of the hottest trends in putting. There are lots of options, but only Odyssey delivers their most successful Tour-proven shapes (Jailbird, #7, and Double Wide) with an Ai-ONE Insert for more consistent ball speeds across the face. Ai-ONE Square 2 Square Putters feature a modern centre shafted design that makes them Stroke Balanced, so they want to stay square throughout a golfer’s stroke. These putters are ideally suited for golfers looking to minimize their face rotation when they putt.

Odyssey positions the shaft just above the head’s centre of gravity for a putter that rests with the toe up, which is the opposite of a traditional putter with toe hang. This design promotes a square face throughout the stroke. Ai-ONE Square 2 Square Putters provide built in forward press as well. The 3.3° of forward shaft lean sets the hands in a forward press position, eliminating the opening of the face that often happens when golfers forward press.

Chrome Tour Triple Diamond Golf Balls

And lastly Callaway have added another new ball, the Chrome Tour Triple Diamond golf ball, this comes after the highest premium ball share Callaway have ever had in the US. Really that's been attributed to what they've done with the new Chrome Tour and Chrome Tour X Golf Balls that was launched in 2024. They've got tremendous momentum and success, not only in the marketplace, but in Tour as well, where this year on tour, Callaway had three major wins and over 19 wins worldwide on the Tours in 2024. Similarly, the big thing for Callaway in this category is they hit their all-time market share high earlier this year in July of 22.2%.

The plan is to build upon that momentum in 2025 and have an exciting new addition to the Chrome Tour family of products called Chrome Tour Triple Diamond. It's basically a lower spinning Chrome Tour X and it's really designed for the player that's looking for that low spin and the benefits in how that low spin benefits that type of player, a player that spins the ball too much.

It’s a golf ball that’s going to help bring that spin down, optimise trajectory, maximise distance, and be more consistent into the wind. Really, it's a golf ball that uses Callaway's Chrome Tour platform with technologies. It starts with a Hyper Fast Soft Core. This ball will be fast, fast off the tee. You're going to feel it. And it has a seamless Tour arrow, its own surface geometry designed for that low spin.

Really, this golf ball is going to be long off the tee. It's going to feel great. It's going to have a urethane cover, give you great check spin around the green. And it has consistency, all tied up into this one particular package. So, this will be a nice new addition to Callaway's lineup.

I've had the chance to test out all of these products at this point and I'm really excited by them all, I must say I really liked the AI Smoke and didn't think I'd see the gains I did with the Elyte driver. Mostly though the new Chrome Tour Triple Diamond golf ball is a game changer. I have the tendency to create a lot of spin with my mishits and the new ball just reigns that in a bit more for me and like most things in golf it just helps you get a bit more comfortable.

Don't just take my word for it, contact the guys in Callaway and test the gear out for yourself, they're always keen to put their gear up against their competitors to showcase just how good they are, so go test it out!
